This workshop was organized by the Innovation and Network Executive Agency (INEA) of the European Commission, gathering 26 H2020 Smart Grids and Storage project representatives with the objective of enhancing the networking and synergies between projects and identifying possible joint activities. SHAR-Q was one of the participants and it was represented by Martin Wagner (Atos), Natalie Samovich (Enercoutim), Stefan Vanya (Bavenir) and Viktor Oravek (Bavenir).
The meeting started with a presentation of INEA and of the European Policy context, and then each project presented briefly their main concept in 5 minutes. SHAR-Q presented the current status of project activities, main results and next steps.
The second part of the meeting was devoted to discussions on potential synergies/overlaps and opportunities, as well as the identification of potential common actions between projects. SHAR-Q team participated in three parallel workshops based on cluster discussions: business models, interoperability and sector coupling. Their main outcomes:
- Round table and discussion to define new approaches to business models, required changes in regulations and other aspects that impact the short- and medium term for delivery of solutions to the energy sector.
- Discussion on the applicability of Shar-q architecture for the vector interfaces.
- Possibility to contribute to the white paper on sector coupling
